2821 Thit Thit Tun1 THE ROLE OF INDIA AND PAKISTAN IN KASHMIR Kashmir is important to both India and Pakistan due to its geo-political significance. Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan has long curbed the relationship and development between the two countries. It is more than six decades old, originating on August 15, 1947, due to the partition of British India into India and Pakistan along religious lines. It has been a protracted conflict in changing global and regional politics. It is valuable for India and Pakistan in terms of national security, geography, and national resources. The purpose of this research is to explore the relations and interactions between Indian and Pakistan regarding the Kashmir region and to analyze the impacts of the Kashmir conflict on India-Pakistan relations. The research questions are how the Kashmir conflict has affected on India and Pakistan relations and Kashmir region, and why conflict resolution between India and Pakistan concerning this conflict has failed. Institutional mistrust, border clashes, the nuclear arms race, continuing insurgency and terrorism have caused the tension between India and Pakistan. It also affects the efforts to improve relations between India and Pakistan. 2822 Aye Wut Yi Ye Lin1 MYANMAR-INDIA POLITICAL RELATIONS (2011-2020) Myanmar and India share a long land border of 1643 km and a maritime boundary in the Bay of Bengal. In 1951, Myanmar and India signed a Treaty of Friendship which laid the foundation for their subsequent bilateral relations. During the leadership of Prime Minister U Nu and Indian Prime Minister Nehru, Myanmar-India relations were close and cordial. However, the relationship between Myanmar and India has fluctuated, with periods of strong cooperation and times of strain before 2011. During the period of 2011-2020, Myanmar and India generally enjoyed cordial relationships, driven by shared strategic, economic, and security interests. The objective of this paper is to analyze the political relations between Myanmar and India during the period (2011 2020). It is conducted through a qualitative method by using the secondary sources. 2823 Thant Sin1, Win Win Yi2, Khin Thiri Thet Naing3 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INTERDEPENDENCE AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE IN A SOCIETAL CONTEXT* In the face of increasing environmental crises and social discord, the principle of Mett?, or loving-kindness, emerges as a transformative approach to fostering ecological balance and global peace. This paper investigates the profound interconnections between Mett? and sustainable environmental practices, demonstrating that cultivating loving-kindness extends compassion not only to fellow humans but to all sentient beings and the natural world. The first section explores the concept of interdependence, emphasizing how Mett? nurtures awareness of the intricate relationships among individuals, communities, and ecosystems, inspiring ethical actions towards the environment. The second section highlights Mett?’s pivotal role in conflict resolution, particularly in addressing disputes over natural resources, and underscores the importance of compassionate dialogue in achieving mutual understanding and cooperation. Furthermore, the paper examines how Mett? can galvanize global solidarity, encouraging collective action for sustainability and environmental justice. By integrating loving-kindness into personal lifestyles and environmental policies, this study advocates for a sustainable future that honors the intrinsic value of all life, paving the way for harmonious coexistence between humanity and the natural world. Ultimately, the paper argues that Mett? serves as a foundational principle for cultivating ecological balance and global peace, offering a pathway to a more compassionate and sustainable society. The research employs descriptive, evaluative, and comparative methods to critically examine the sutta's teachings and assess their applicability in contemporary settings. 2026
2824 Hsu Htet Ye Linn1, Win Win Yi2, Aye Thandar3 ETHICAL LEADERSHIP AND SUSTAINABLE PEACE: BUDDHIST PERSPECTIVES FROM P??I LITERATURE This study explores Buddhist perspectives on ethical leadership from P??i literature, focusing on how principles such as compassion (karu??), wisdom (paññ?), and moral conduct (s?la) can shape modern leadership practices to foster sustainable peace. 2827 Phyo Nann Wai1, Win Win Yi2, Aye Thandar3 PROMOTING GLOBAL PEACE AND TRUST THROUGH THE FIVE PRECEPTS: A BUDDHIST PERSPECTIVE This paper explores how the Five Precepts of Buddhism can serve as a universal ethical framework for fostering global peace and social harmony. By analyzing their broader social implications, the paper highlights the potential of these precepts to address contemporary ethical challenges and to contribute to a more compassionate, just, and peaceful global society. The Five Precepts—abstaining from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, false speech, and intoxicants—promote fundamental values of non-violence, honesty, self-restraint, and mindfulness. Although primarily intended for personal moral development, these principles extend beyond the individual to shape interpersonal relationships and social dynamics. Through fostering trust, mutual respect, and social cohesion, the Five Precepts support conflict prevention and contribute to the foundation of a just society. This paper argues that adopting these ethical guidelines globally can help address issues such as violence, corruption, and social inequality. It also underscores how the universal values embodied in the Five Precepts transcend cultural and religious boundaries, making them a viable framework for promoting peace and ethical behavior within diverse and interconnected societies. 2026
2828 Kyaw Sein Win1 QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP: ABSTAINING FROM FOUR TYPES OF BIASE The development and success of an organization depend not only on each individual but also on the leader of the organization. A leader must maintain fairness towards those they are leading. Only by being free from biased practices and corruption can one be a person of complete moral integrity. This paper outlines the four types of biase. These biases – desire(chand?gati), aversion(dos?gati), delusion(moh?gati), and fear(bhay?gati) – are mental distortions that lead to unethical conduct in both personal societal contexts. Agati or bias is not a positive quality of a leader but rather represents pitfalls that a leader must avoid to maintain ethical and effective leadership. The concept of Agati is closely related to the moral and ethical standards that Buddhist literature holds for leaders, particularly in how one should exercise one’s power and judgment. This paper explores the concept of Agati in Buddhist literature, examining its significance and ethical implications through the analysis of P?l?i canonical texts, commentaries and other texts using descriptive and explanatory methods. This paper aims to overcome Agati in order to cultivate moral clarity and ethical decision-making, according to the Buddhist principles, and to disappear of corruption in the society. In this paper, it can be found that individuals engaging in agati experience downfall, whereas those who avoid agati attain success in life. 2026
