Cho Yi Mon Tun1 CHALLENGES AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS FACED BY THE EMPLOYEES FROM THE TELEVISION SECTOR DURING THE COVID-19 Worldwide, coronavirus is a major respiratory disease that causes severe illness and high death rates. Since its 2019 emergence, it has also been known as COVID-19. The impacts of COVID-19 were devastating to the global economy, causing a financial crisis as well as challenges in the fields of education, healthcare, construction, tourism, and even the media. In March 2020, Myanmar reported its initial case of COVID 19, and as a result, the print and broadcast media industries were among the worst affected since they lost all of their advertising opportunities, television programs, and newspaper distribution due to COVID-19. Furthermore, COVID-19 had serious negative impacts on the television industry as a whole as well as its employees in different ways. This study analyzes the specific challenges and mental health problems faced by television industry employees during the pandemic period. It also examines the impact of production halts, job insecurity, remote working constraints, health-related anxieties, and financial instability on television employees. According to the findings, 80% of the employees from the television sector were infected with the disease. As the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of employees lost their primary jobs and regular income due to the financial crisis in the sector. The findings also point out increased levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout, exacerbated by long working hours, social isolation, and the pressure to meet content demands under restrictive conditions. Therefore, this study suggests raising awareness and promoting actionable strategies for crisis management in the television industry. 2026

Su Pyae Thada Htet1, Aye Thanda Soe2 EMPLOYEE INTENTIONS TO ADOPT GREEN PRACTICES AT HOTELS IN YANGON This study investigates the factors influencing employee intention to adopt green practices in hotels in Yangon and examines the moderating effect of management support on perceived behavioral control and employee intentions. A total of 221 respondents from Yangon hotels were surveyed using a two-stage simple random sampling method. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study utilized descriptive statistics and regression analysis to assess environmental knowledge, employee attitudes, social norms, perceived behavioral control, management support, and intention to adopt green practices. The findings reveal that perceived behavioral control and social norms significantly impact employees' intention to adopt green practices, with perceived behavioral control and management support receiving high mean values. Furthermore, management support emerged as a key factor in promoting green practices, demonstrating a stronger moderating effect than perceived behavioral control. However, the interaction between perceived behavioral control and management support did not show a significant effect. Based on these findings, it is recommended that hotels in Yangon align sustainability goals with their strategies, enhance employee training, foster supportive environments, and provide necessary resources to empower employees. 2026

Myat Thandar Aye1, Phyu Zar Zar Theint2, Su Chan Myae3 AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF SCHOOL VIOLENCE MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES* This study aims to investigate strategies for managing school violence, focusing on identifying commonly used violence management strategies and examining the relationship between these strategies and incidents of violence. Using a mixed-methods approach, surveys, interviews and documentary analysis were conducted with 1,430 high school students and 36 teachers for quantitative data, along with 12 teachers for qualitative insights, selected through multistage sampling. The reliability of the questionnaire was high (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.90). Data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlation. Six key strategies for managing school violence were identified: behavioral management strategy, safety-related strategy, curriculum-based strategy, early identification and intervention strategy, response strategy, and recovery strategy. Teachers predominantly employed response, safety-related, early identification, and behavioral management strategies. A negative correlation was found between school violence perpetration and the use of these strategies, suggesting that greater implementation is linked to reduced violence. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach to violence management, engaging teachers, students, parents, and the community. It offers valuable insights for educators and policymakers seeking to improve the overall learning experience, create safer school environments and building peaceful society. 2026
Thet Thet Khine1, Su Chan Myae 2& Khin Mar Ni3 ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION: A STUDY OF TEACHER EDUCATORS' ATTITUDE The primary objective of this study was to investigate teacher educators' attitudes toward entrepreneurship education. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods. A total of 336 teacher educators from ten education degree colleges were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, open-ended questions and interviews. For the qualitative aspect, 16 teacher educators were purposefully chosen as participants. The reliability of the attitude-related items in the survey was confirmed with a coefficient of 0.80. Quantitative data analysis included descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple comparisons. The qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, enabling the identification of recurring themes. The findings revealed that teacher educators generally exhibited a positive attitude toward entrepreneurship education. Personal factors such as age, academic qualifications, years of service, and experience with entrepreneurship education significantly influenced their attitudes. However, challenges such as lack of resources, financial support, and infrastructure were noted as potential barriers to the effective implementation of entrepreneurship education. Additionally, concerns were raised about integrating entrepreneurship education into the existing curriculum. This study highlights the need for institutional support and strategic interventions to foster positive attitudes among teacher educators, which is essential for the successful integration of entrepreneurship education. 2026
Theingi Aung 1, Phyu Zar Zar Theint2 and Su Chan Myae3 AN INVESTIGATION INTO NEW SCIENCE CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION AT PRIMARY LEVEL This study investigated new science curriculum implementation at primary level. The specific objectives were: to investigate the extent of teachers’ practices in new science curriculum implementation in terms of planning, teaching, managing classrooms and assessing. Explanatory mixed method was used, quantitative study first and qualitative study follows to explain quantitative findings deeply. 2918 Khin Thet Swe1, Zin Nwe Than2 and Khaing Khin Kyaw3 THE IMPACT OF QUALITY OF WORK LIFE ON TEACHERS’ WORK ENGAGEMENT The main aim of this study is to investigate the impact of quality of work life (QWL) on teachers’ work engagement. The specific objectives are to assess teachers’ perceptions of their QWL and work engagement, examine the relationship between QWL and work engagement, investigate the impact of QWL on work engagement, and propose a QWL model for enhancing teachers’ work engagement. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used. Using proportionate stratified sampling, 603 teachers from 32 Basic Education High Schools in Mandalay City Development Area were selected as samples. Instruments were developed by the researcher after reviewing the related literature. The reliability coefficients for QWL and work engagement were 0.94 and 0.95 respectively. Statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, Pearson product moment correlation, multiple regression, and path analysis, was run. The findings indicated that teachers perceive a high QWL and work engagement, with a positive and strong correlation between QWL and work engagement. The dimensions of QWL—?working environment,? ?developmental opportunities,? ?interpersonal relationships,? ?work-life balance,? and ?work-related attitudes?— predict teachers’ work engagement significantly. The path model shows the direct and indirect effects between variables, explaining 48% of the variance in work engagement. The qualitative study, comprising interviews and observations, supports the quantitative findings. This study concludes that prioritizing a high QWL is essential for enhancing teachers’ work engagement. 2026
Htet Htet Aung1 and Nyein Ma Ma Khin2 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONAL PROTECTIVE PROCESSES AND TEACHER RESILIENCE The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between organizational protective processes and teacher resilience at selected Basic Education High Schools in Mandalay. Mixed research methods were applied to collect the required data. The sample for quantitative study was selected through purposive sampling, which included 310 teachers from eight selected Basic Education High Schools in Mandalay. For the quantitative study, two instruments “Organizational Protective Factors Survey” developed by Tanum (2007) to assess the perceptions of teachers on organizational protective processes and “Personal Resilience Questionnaire” developed by Conner (1993) to evaluate the perceptions of teachers on their resilience, were mainly used. Moreover, interviews were conducted with 27 teachers from five selected Basic Education High Schools in Mandalay to obtain detailed information about organizational protective processes and teacher resilience. Data was computed by utilizing descriptive statistics and Pearson product- moment correlation analyses through SPSS software. According to the results of this study, organizational protective processes were positively and moderately correlated with teacher resilience (r=0.469, p<0.01). The qualitative data provided by interviews with teachers was consistent with the qualitative findings. Therefore, it can be concluded that when the levels of organizational protective processes increase, the levels of teacher resilience will also increase. Further research should be conducted in other townships, states and divisions of our country. 2026
