2621 Khin Marlar Maung1 KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: MEDIATING ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING The objectives of the study are to analyze the effect of knowledge management (KM) capabilities on employee performance and to examine the mediating effect of organizational learning in the relationship between knowledge management capabilities and employee performance. The respondents are 174 managers and supervisors from the private banks in Myanmar. Structured questionnaire with five-point Likert scale is used to collect primary data. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis are applied. According to the results, the respondents accepted that they can acquire and apply their knowledge at the banks with the provision of knowledge management capabilities of the bank. Correlation results show that knowledge acquisition and knowledge application have moderate correlation and knowledge sharing has strong correlation with organizational learning. Knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and knowledge application have moderate correlation with organizational learning; and organizational learning has strong correlation with employee performance. According to multiple regression analysis results, organizational learning is a perfect or full mediator of the relationship between knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and employee performance; and is a partial mediator of the relationship between knowledge application and employee performance. Knowledge management capabilities and organizational learning are essential for employees of private banks to achieve a high level of employee performance. 2025
2622 Dr. Thiha Htun1 ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCIES AND PERFORMANCE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES Entrepreneurial competencies play the critical role for sustaining, maintaining, and improving the performance of small and medium enterprises in an intensely competitive market as local small and medium enterprises offer job opportunities. The most prevalent kinds of entrepreneurial competencies comprise communication competencies, determination competencies, basic business competencies, strategic competencies, resource competencies, and industry specific knowledge. This study attempts to identify entrepreneurial competencies of small and medium enterprises, and to analyze the effects of entrepreneurial competencies on performance of small and medium enterprises. This study utilizes primary data from 40 owners of small and medium enterprises in 2023. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis are applied in this study. It is found that determination and basic business competencies are weakly correlated, however, communication competencies, strategic competencies, resource competencies, and industry specific knowledge are moderately correlated with performance. According to the findings, resource competencies and industry specific knowledge have significant and positive effects on performance of small and medium enterprises. Other kinds of entrepreneurial competencies do not have significant effect on the performance of SMEs. Among six entrepreneurial competencies included in this study, it is found that the resource competency has the most significant effect on performance of small and medium enterprises. 2025
2623 Nan Thida Win1 EFFECTS OF JOB MOBILITY ON WORKING LIFE OF PRIVATE BANK MANAGERS This study aims to analyze the effect of job mobility on the working life of private bank managers and to examine the effects of occupational mobility on the working life of private bank managers. Job-to-job mobility and occupational mobility are used to measure the effects of job mobility of private bank managers in Myanmar. Primary data were collected from 321 managers of private banks in Myanmar which have at least ten years of working experience in the selected private banks by using a structured questionnaire For job-to-job mobility, the study found that most of the bank managers’ job tenure is less than 6 years and the average job duration is between 1 to 6 years. The analysis revealed that job tenure has a significant positive effect on working life. The longer the job tenure, the better the working conditions of the surrounding environment. Concerning the effect of occupational mobility on working life, the results demonstrate that job level change has a positive effect on working life. However, the results show that organizational changes have a significant negative effect on working life. The private banks need to increase the job tenure of private bank managers and reduce organizational changes by taking necessary measures. 2025
2624 Ye Wint Aung1, Daw Sie Sar Oo2 STORE ATMOSPHERE AND CONSUMERS ATTITUDE TOWARDS SINGLE-BRAND APPAREL RETAILERS IN MANDALAY In this study, consumers’ attitude towards single-brand apparel retailers was emphasized by using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model and the study was conducted as the stimuli (the traditional store atmospheric cues such as social cues, design cues, and ambience cues) within the single-brand apparel retailers in Mandalay. This study explores the effect of stimulus on consumers’ response (approach-avoidance behaviors) through the internal evaluation states (cognitive and affective evaluation). Systematic simple random sampling method was employed to collect data from the 36 single-brand apparel retail stores of 13 brand types and responses of 720 consumers were used for the data analyses. The data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. This study found that store atmospheric cues (social cues, design cues, and ambience cues) have an influence on the internal evaluations and ultimately reach to the approach behavior towards single-brand apparel retailers in Mandalay 2025
2625 Phu Pwint Nyo Win Aung 1 LEADERSHIP STYLES OF TOWNSHIP EDUCATIONALOFFICERS AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN MYANMAR In the basic educational system of Myanmar, where Township Education Officers play a crucial role in administration of basic schools performance, their leadership styles may shape the organizational performance within districts. The study aimed to investigate Township Educational Officers’ Leadership Styles and Organization Performance in Myanmar. A sample size of 323 TEOs were selected and relevant data were collected with questionnaire survey. The findings suggest a significant positive correlation between Bureaucratic Leadership Style and Organizational Performance, highlighting relationship between adherence to established rules and organizational performance. In contrast, Humanistic Leadership Style demonstrates no statistically significant correlation with Organizational Performance. The outcomes of this study inform policies and practices to enhance for the quality of education by emphasizing effective Bureaucratic Leadership Style of Township Education Officers and promoting organization performance, ultimately contributing to improved educational outcomes of Myanmar. 2025
2626 Banyar Aung1 EFFECT OF CONSUMER ATTITUDE ON CONSUMER BUYING BEHAVIOR TOWARDS 24 KARAT GOLD ORNAMENTS This study attempts to analyze the effect of consumer attitude on buying behavior towards 24 karat gold ornaments. Both primary and secondary data are used in this study. The respondents are selected by using two-stage random sampling method. Targeted respondents are customers who bought gold ornaments from retail stores in Junction City Shopping Mall at Yangon. The sample size is 120 which is selected from five gold ornament shops among ten shops in Junction City. Structured questionnaires are used to collect data by using face to face interview method. By Tri component attitude model, three at level which cognitive, affective and conative attitude components are applied in this study. According to the descriptive analysis, customers have high cognitive and affective attitude level towards 24 K gold ornament whereas conative attitude have moderate level. Regression analysis indicates that affective attitude has positively significant effect on consumer buying behavior towards 24K gold ornaments. Based on the result of the findings, 24 K gold ornament retail stores should make reasonable installment plan, update design, sense of luxury in order to generate affective attitude. 2025
2627 Wai Phyo Aung1 THE EFFECTS OF JOB CHARACTERISTICS ON SALESPERSON's ENGAGEMENT OF LOCAL INSURANCE COMPANIES IN MANDALAY* This study aims to examine the effects of job characteristics on salesperson's engagement at local insurance companies in Mandalay. This study uses both primary and secondary data. There are 8 local insurance companies in Mandalay. Among them, 5 local insurance companies were selected, and 67 salespersons were chosen as samples by using the multi-stage simple random sampling method. The structured questionnaire is used to collect primary data. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis are applied to analyze the collected data. This study found that the three job characteristics - task identity, task significance, and autonomy - have an effect on salesperson's engagement in terms of vigor, dedication, and absorption. It is indicated that the job characteristics of an insurance salesperson may directly increase salesperson's engagement. Therefore, local insurance companies need to ensure that job roles are well-defined, providing clear task identity and significance. They should enable salespersons to understand the importance of their roles in contributing to the overall success of the organization and to feel a sense of purpose in their work. Companies should grant salespersons a certain level of autonomy to make decisions in their sales processes. 2025
2628 Kyaw Zin Oo1, Kyaw Kyaw2 THE EFFECT OF PROJECT MANAGER’S SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES ON PROJECT SUCCESS This paper aims to analyse the effect of project manager’s skills and experiences on project success, focusing on the Royal AMT construction company limited. The specific objectives are to examine the effect of project manager’s skills (conceptual skills, human skills, political skills and technical skills) and experience on project success measured by cost, measured by schedule and measured by quality. Among 50 project managers, 44 are randomly selected as sample (by calculating with Yamane (1967) formula. Primary data are collected from superiors of these 44 selected project managers. The superiors (directors and senior managers) filled the structured questionnaires: one superior for one project manager separately. From descriptive analysis, most of the project managers have high level of conceptual, human, political and technical skills. They have at least 10 years in construction service. From regression analysis, their political skills and technical skills can generate good cost management. Their political skills support to completion of project within identified time frame, and their technical skills improve the quality of project. However, their human skills will disturb effective cost management. 2025
2629 Naing Lin Tun1, Myat Khing Swe2, Aye Nyein Khet3, Yar Zar Kyaw4, Cho Cho Lwin5, Ei Phyu Sin6, Mu M PERCEIVED LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND SPORT PERFORMANCE OF YANGON UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS BASKETBALL ATHLETES This study examined the Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Sport Performance (SP) of athletes from the Yangon University of Economics. A total of 34 basketball players were involved in the cross sectional survey representing the open-skill athletes. The perceived levels of EI and SP of the athletes were assessed through self-rating, using a structured questionnaire with Likert scale items. In general, open-skill athletes often exhibited high EI levels only in relationship management. It was found that most of the athletes had EI scores within the effective functioning or enhanced skills level. The possible relationship between the athletes’ level of EI and SP was examined via Spearman’s correlation. Results revealed that the SP of basketball players (open-skill athletes) was significantly correlated (P<0.05) to relationship management (r=0.903) but not significantly correlated (P>0.1) to their self-awareness (r=0.736), self-management (r=0.874) and social awareness (r=0.929). In general, it can be deduced that the SP level of the open-skill athletes appeared to improve with increasing EI level. Implementation of motivational programs aimed at enhancing the EI levels among open-skilled athletes are recommended to boost their SP during the game. 2025
2630 Chu Chu Shwe Sin1, Wint Wah Htay2 The Effect of Knowledge Management, Financial Literacy, and Technology Orientation on Innovation Capability and Performance of MSMEs in Myanmar This paper aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of knowledge management, financial literacy, and technology orientation on innovation capabilities and MSMEs performance in Myanmar. This paper aims to analyze the effect of psychological feelings of fear of missing out and anxiety on the delegation of people who are playing at the managerial level. In this study, a business that has at least five employees can be identified as MSMEs. There are 44,017 MSMEs in Myanmar and 8,221 MSMEs in the Yangon Region. The population is resized by the owners who registered at the Yangon Region Youth Entrepreneurs Association. There are 40 executive members registered with the Yangon Region Youth Entrepreneurs Association (2023). Then, a clustered sampling method is applied. From descriptive analysis, it is found that most of the respondents have better knowledge about management at their businesses, understand how to manage financing and they are willing to integrate new technologies. Therefore, the overall mean value of each variable has been found to be above the average level. From multiple linear regression analysis, knowledge management, financial literacy, and technology orientation are positively related to the MSMEs performance. It is found that knowledge management, financial literacy, and technology orientation are positively related to innovation capability and MSMEs performance. Moreover, innovation capability has a positive influence on the MSMEs performance. 2025
