SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SnO2 NANOPARTICLES

Thumbnail
Abstract
  • Tin Oxide, SnO2 nanoparticles have been synthesized by sol-gel auto combustion method in this work from SnCl4.5H2O, NH4OH and distilled water. After preparation the powder has been calcined at five different temperatures (400oC, 500oC, 600oC, 700oC and 800oC) for 1 hour. Then, the phase analysis identification has been conducted by X-ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD). Besides, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis has been conducted after synthesis. FTIR spectrum shows the molecular vibration of SnO2 nanoparticles. Moreover, the microstructure of the sample has been characterized by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
