Abstract

• The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the mathematics teachers’ mathematics teaching anxiety. The research design for this study was a descriptive survey method. A total of 328 mathematics teachers from selected regions in Myanmar were used as the sample. McAnallen Anxiety in Mathematics Teaching Survey (Mc Anallen, 2010) was used as a research instrument. Concerning gender, the significant differences were not found to be on mathematics teaching anxiety. Moreover, primary teachers have a higher mean score of mathematics teaching anxiety than that of the principles of primary school, junior teachers, and senior teachers. The participant teachers from Kayin State possess higher mathematics teaching anxiety than those of teachers from other regions and states. The significant differences were found to be on Mathematics Teaching Anxiety by region.
